SCTelcom is making every effort to keep you informed about how we are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak

Clear, accurate information is vital during times of crisis. SCTelcom is making every effort to keep you informed about how we are responding to the COVID-19 outbreak, along with ways you can protect yourself and your family.

*****Effective March 19, 2020 all SCTelcom offices will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC until further notice.

We kindly ask that you conduct business remotely to limit the exposure of COVID-19 to our employees and customers. Customers can reach SCTelcom by calling 877-723-6875.

What We Are Doing Internally

We are working to implement policies to protect our employees and customers from exposure to the virus.

• If an employee has been exposed to the coronavirus, we are asking them to stay home until they can be tested or otherwise cleared.

• Before any employee will be dispatched to a customer’s home for a service call, we will ask the customer a series of questions to determine the risk of exposure to our employee. If any risk exists, the service call will be rescheduled if possible. If the service call is an emergency, special precautions must be taken by our employee and our customers before a visit can be made.

What We Are Doing For You

If your employer has adopted a work-from-home policy, you may need a more robust broadband connection for tasks such as connecting to remote servers, transferring large files and video conferencing. You may also need this robust connection if your school has adopted an online-only policy. To support these efforts, we will upgrade your Internet package to an appropriate speed at no cost through the month of May 2020. Please call the office at 877-723-6875 to discuss your needs with a customer service representative.

Helping with Economic Hardship

For many industries, the impact of COVID-19 will be felt immediately. Several of our customers may see their incomes impacted as they are told to stay home from work.

As a service provider invested in our communities, we are committed to helping our members get through these uncertain times. That’s why, until the end of April, SCTelcom is suspending all service disconnect orders. Recurring charges to your account will still accrue but all fees and penalties for non-payment will be waived.

Please also remember there are many ways to pay your bill without coming into the office or leaving the comfort of your home.
